Biker Events in December 2018: Toy Runs

The countdown to Christmas is on and there’s plenty of Toy Runs happening up and down the country for you to take part in. Toy Runs are all about giving back to charity, either donating money or presents to a local children’s hospital, a hospice or a charity of choice.

Santa’s on a Bike
Saturday 1st December 

Kick start the month of December by joining the Santa’s on a Bike toy run. The ride takes place around the South West area with rides taking place from Cornwall, Devon and Bristol.

All donations welcome, and don’t forget your Santa costume!

Where? Plymouth 

Burton Annual Toy Run
Sunday 2nd December 

Meet from 9am at the Unwanted MCC Rockbar in Burton, before heading off to the local school for their Christmas Fayre. Prizes are up for grabs for the best dressed bike so make sure you get yourself into the festive spirit.

It’s only£5 per bike and all monies go to charity!

Paws n Claws Run
Sunday 9th December

Ride for local Mayhew Animal Home this December. All you need to do is meet at the Ace Cafe from 7am for a 10.30am depart to the pet home.

Riders are encouraged to bring donations including pet food, treats, towels and blankets.

Reading Toy Run
Sunday 9th December 

33rd annual Reading Toy Run will start at John Wood PLC at 1pm.  Please bring a new toy suitable for a child of any age, unwrapped.

Cambridge Bikers Christmas Toy Run
Sunday 9th December

Join the Cambridge bikers on their annual toy run to Addensbrook Hospital, donating gifts to children and patients spending the festive period away from home.

Ace Cafe Toy Run
Sunday 16th December 

The annual Ace Cafe toy run is back again this year. As always, meet the Cafe for an 11am departure. The run attends three different children’s hospital wards in London including:

St Mary’s, Paddington
Royal Brompton, Chelsea
Evelina Children’s Hospital, Westminster

As always, please bring gifts that are wrapped and labelled with gender and age so they can be distributed between the children. Don’t forget there’s prizes to be won for ‘Best Dressed Bike’ and ‘Best Dressed Rider’.
