RAC Motorbike Breakdown Cover & Recovery

Get roadside assistance with RAC breakdown cover. Choose from four levels of cover to suit your needs, your bike, and your budget.

Motorbike Breakdown Cover

DSC_5661-1

If your bike breaks down, motorbike insurance alone won’t cover you for roadside assistance. For that, you’ll need a specialist motorbike breakdown policy.

Whether it’s a mechanical problem, an electrical fault, or another issue, RAC breakdown cover is there to help get you back on the road, wherever you are.

And if roadside repairs aren’t possible, the RAC will transport you, your passenger and your bike to a location of your choice, including home or a garage.

Motorbike breakdown cover options from RAC

Roadside cover £39.99 per year*

Roadside cover only provides assistance if you break down more than a ¼ of a mile away from home. A taxi fare up to 20 miles is also provided if your bike can’t be fixed immediately, and a tow of up to 10 miles.

Recovery cover £69.99 per year*

Recovery cover offers the same assistance Roadside cover, but also includes national recovery, meaning the RAC will recovery your motorcycle to a local garage or a single destination anywhere in the UK.

At Home cover £74.99 per year*

Not all breakdowns happen on the road. If your bike won’t start at home, or you break down within a ¼ of a mile of your address, At Home cover means you can still call for assistance. This option can ensure you’re covered from the moment you plan to set off.

Onward Travel & European breakdown cover £95.99 per year*

If you travel long distances on your bike, Onward Travel Plus EU provides breakdown assistance if you’re at home or more than a ¼ of a mile away from home, as well as a replacement bike for up to 2 days whilst your bike is being repaired.

If your bike can’t be repaired, you’ll be supported with an alternate form of transport, or accommodation if you’re stuck.

If you break down and you’re on your way to somewhere abroad, or while you’re abroad, attempts will be made to fix your bike at the roadside. If that’s not possible, it’ll be taken to a local garage and fixed there. Again, if this isn’t possible, alternative transport or overnight accommodation can be arranged.
