Ducati 899 Panigale Bike Overview
The 899 Panigale is Ducati’s replacement for the earlier 1199 Panigale with the aim being to provide a bike which was middleweight and equally able to handle life on the road and a circuit on the tracks. Certainly the Ducati 899 Panigale has been improved upon with more emphasis having been placed on comfort and overall ride-ability along with a Superquadra engine which boasts more power and torque.
The Ducati 899 Panigale is a light bike with steering which is easy and accurate and is perfectly at home whether you are taking corners on the track or hitting the open road and to find this balance so perfectly, you know you are talking about something a little bit special. On top of this, Ducati have put time and effort into creating a bike which is a joy to ride with fully adjustable suspension, three different rider modes and impressive ABS brakes to name just some of the rider perks which come as standard with the 899. The 899 also has a more comfortable riding position than other bikes in the Ducati range, perhaps most notably the 848 EVO.
The Ducati 899 Panigale is a bike which gives you a lot for your money. It doesn’t come cheap, with prices starting at around £12,700 for a new bike but when you consider that you get a whole heap of riding perks, the chance to buy into an exclusive club and the delight of riding a beautiful Ducati machine which will hold its value well; it’s easy to see why the price might just be worth paying.

Noise and power and looks. A piece of art.
Confidence in riding, styling, nothing beats a red Ducati for looks in my opinion.sheer fun factor!
Cheaper prices on after market parts!
The ride is sublime, with suspension set up and rosso Corsas on it glides over bumps and feels light as a feather, easily flickable through sharp or twisting turns, with great feel throughout the bike it’s surgically precise, definitely the best bike bike ever riden for a sunny day blast.
The 899 is just unreal when it comes to power and torque, for the capacity it’s the perfect all rounder, stable and manageable at low speeds around town etc and when hitting the back roads it goes like a rocket, awesome low down power good mid range and above 6000rpm it goes mental. The rider modes are a god send,if it’s raining just flick over to wet mode and I can ride it like it’s dry,the power is reduced and all just settles comfortably for major confidence in any weather.
Haven't been watching the fuel but I think generally around 150 miles before refuelling unfortunately petrol is kinda high at the mo so to fill is about £17 Off the top of my head so it’s reasonable depending on how it’s riden.
Ducati’s of old are just a memory in comparison to the 899,the build quality is second to none, even fettling and swapping bits out is easy for any diy,and the quality of parts used is top notch, only a few bolts on the rear mudguard had slight coating of rust on top after 3 years but bad cleaning on my part!
The brembos are spot on,as well as the dtc modes and adjustability,I have full confidence in the bike knowing how well the whole package works together, out of the 3 rider modes I prefer race so I have full power and minimum intrusion from the traction control but is nice to know I have that blanket.
