Motorcycle Events in February 2017

The start of the year and the January blues are now behind us! Which means we can finally look forward to the rest of the year. Here is a guide to some of the motorcycling events that are happening around the UK during February 2017. Some have limited spaces available, so make sure you get in there quick!

 

Great Western bike show

Event: The Footman James Great Western Autojumble

When? Saturday 11th – Sunday 12th February

Where? Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, BA4 6QN

What’s on?

This is a classic car show/autojumble. There will be club displays, jumble and trade stands. An auction by Charterhouse will take place.

Opening times: 

9:30 – 16:00

Admission:

Adults – £10

Under 16s – free

 

Welsh Dragon Motorcycle Rally

Event: Welsh Dragon Motorcycle Rally

When? Saturday 11th – Sunday 12th February

Where? Snowdonia, North Wales. Participants are told the location of the campsite when they have reported to one of the caravans in Snowdonia.

What’s on?

Like the Elephant in Germany and the Crystal Rally in Norway, it is one of the Great European rallies usually held in the bitter depths of winter. The Conwy and District Motorcycle Club started the Dragon Rally in 1960 and it takes place in winter in the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia, North Wales, and serves as a meeting place for motorcyclists all over the continent. Once there, you will enjoy the Conwy and DMCC’s warm welcome and hot soup as well as the local amenities, including some fabulous pubs.

Sunbeam Motorcycle Club Logo

Event: Gordon Jackson Trial

When? Sunday 12th February

Where? Bagshot Heath North, Maultway, Bagshot, Surrey

What’s on?

London Motorcycle Show logo

Event: London MCN Motorcycle Show

When? Friday 17th – Sunday 19th February

Where? ExCel London, One Western Gateway, Royal Victoria Dock, London, E16 1XL

What’s on?

We’ll be there, will you? Be sure to pop over to the Devitt stand for your chance to win a brand new crash helmet and gaze at our range of impressive motorbikes.

This is your chance to see all the latest and greatest motorcycles, clothing, accessories and exhibitors. Alongside free live action from racing legends John McGuinness, Neil Hodgson, Chris Walker. There will also be demonstrations, talks and interviews.

Adult £21

Senior (65+) £18

Children under 15 free

Motorcycle parking is free. On-site car parking costs £15.

 

Event: Giant Auto and Bike Jumble Scorton

When? Saturday 18th February

Where? The North Yorkshire Event Centre, Atley Hill Road, Scorten, North Yorkshire, DL10 6EH

What’s on?

This autojumble takes place on a 10-acre site both in the open and undercover. The organisers are promising plenty of parking spaces and excellent refreshments.

From 7am for sellers

8am to public

Classic Dirt Bike Show

Event: The Classic Dirt Bike Show sponsored by Hagon Shocks

When? Saturday 18th – Sunday 19th February

Where? International Centre, St. Quentin Gate, Telford, TF3 4JH

What’s on?

Numerous classic road-racing bikes and classic off-road motorcycles from the 30s to 90s, including many famous racing machines in their original condition will be on display. There will be trade stalls and a large autojumble, a Best of Show competition and celebrity guests.

Weymouth Beach Race

Event: Weymouth Beach Race

When? Saturday 18th – Sunday 19th February

Where? Weymouth Beach, The Esplanade, Weymouth, Dorset, DT4 7AY

What’s on?

The International Weymouth Beach race has top riders from all over the UK and Europe. With quads and motorbikes ranging from 50cc to 700cc and riders aged from 8 years up, it is sure to be fun for all the family. Not to mention the exciting 4×4 action and thrilling entertainment available throughout the weekend.

Ipswich old bike jumble

Event: Ipswich Old Bike Jumble

When? Sunday 19th February

Where? Great Blakenham Village Hall, Great Blakenham, Suffolk, IP6 0NJ (B1113 off the A14).

What’s on?

Vintage and Classic motorcycle autojumble with stalls inside and out. Refreshments will be available and parking is free. Contact Graham at graham.peters32@btinternet.com for more information.

Race Retro

Event: Race Retro: International Historic Motorsport Show 2017

When? Friday 24th – Sunday 26th February

Where? Great Blakenham Village Hall, Great Blakenham, Suffolk, IP6 0NJ (B1113 off the A14).

What’s on?

This is an event aimed at both motorsport enthusiasts and professionals and spans 8 decades of car and motorcycle racing. Although the show focuses on 4-wheeled racing machines, there is a motorcycle section with display for retro racing bikes.

There is also the ‘Race Bike Fire-Up’ paddock, classic motorcycle club stands and a café racer concours will take place. Silverstone Auctions will conduct a sale of the finest classic cars, modern supercars, all types of competition cars, modern and historic motorcycles and automobilia.

Lincoln Autojumble Fed 2017

Event: Lincoln Autojumble

When? Saturday 25th February 2017

Where? Near Caenby Corner, at the junction of the A15 and A631 and only 10miles from the M180, DN21 5TJ

What’s on?

This is a large autojumble for cars, motorcycles, lorries, tractors, machinery and tools.

Opening hours:

From 06:30 to sellers

08:00 – 12:30 to public

Admission:

Free

Parking:

£2 per car
