Home Claims Guide

We understand that making a home insurance claim can be a stressful experience, as you could be a victim of a burglary, had a fire, a flood or a burst pipe. We want to make sure you’re prepared in the event of an unfortunate event that means you need to make a claim…

Step by step guide to making a home insurance claim

  • Where necessary, such as in the event of a burglary, contact the police and obtain a Crime Reference Number
  • Gather your insurance documentation to refer to important details such as your Policy Number
  • Have the facts ready – with any details of loss / damage
  • Call our Claims Line on 0345 543 9959

With a home insurance claim, you may be required to complete a claim form and provide proof of purchase for items that you’re claiming for. If you can’t find receipts, you may be able to prove purchases by referring to your debit / credit card statements.

Depending on the type of claim, your insurer may send out a loss adjuster, who will visit your home to assess the damage or loss.

Our team are here to assist, so if you have any questions during the claims process, then just let us know.
