My property is let/sublet, can you provide cover?

Can you insure my property if it is permanently unoccupied?

No we can’t, although there are insurers in the market who do.

If my home is going to be unoccupied for more than 90 days; do I need to notify you?

Yes, you will need to arrange extended un-occupancy cover.

Do you insure second homes?

Yes we do, subject to underwriting criteria relating to un-occupancy.

I have a holiday home, can you provide cover?

Will you insure my home if it is also used for business purposes?

Do you cover mobile homes?

Do you provide listed buildings cover?

Are outbuildings included in my buildings insurance e.g. shed, garage?

Can you cover my contents away from home on a day-to-day basis?

Yes we can, subject to underwriting criteria.

Do you cover for an unlimited amount of contents?

Unfortunately not, you will be expected to provide some extra information in this area.

Am I limited to a maximum single article limit?

Do you provide cover for accidental damage?

Do you cover items away from the home e.g. whilst on holiday?

Can my child's personal belongings be covered if they go to university?

Do you offer short term/temporary home insurance?

No we don’t provide this cover, although there are insurers in the market that do.

Can I 'freeze' my home insurance?

No, we only offer the option to cancel if you no longer require your home insurance.

Can I upgrade my policy cover mid-term?

Can you insure my home if it has a flat roof?

If I move home, do I need to take out a new insurance policy?

Do I get a refund of my insurance premium if I wish to cancel my home insurance, but have already paid in full?

Yes, you will be refunded for the months remaining, subject to a cancellation fee.

Can I earn No Claims Bonus on a Home Insurance policy?

Yes you can.

Can I protect my No Claims Bonus?

Unfortunately not.

If I have had a fault claim but my no claim bonus was protected, do I have to disclose it?

Yes you do.

Do I need to tell you about any criminal convictions that I may have?

Yes, failure to do so could invalidate your insurance.
