Everything you need to know about Ireland Bikefest Killarney
Three days of pure motorcycling madness, taking place over Ireland’s June Bank Holiday the Ireland Bikefest is one of the best motorcycling events in Ireland.
Since the launch of the event back 2006, there’s been over 350,000 visitors and raised by £180,000 for charity. The outdoor area is dedicated to live entertainment over the weekend including a massive line up of international tribute bands to local cover bands. Of course you’ll find a wide selection of festival styled food with pop-up street food vans everywhere. Don’t forget to take a tirp to the Harley Bar in the Bike Village, it’s the best place to meet up, hang out and enjoy the atmosphere over a nice, cold drink.
Make sure you check out the custom bike show with prizes up for grabs if you fancying entering your machine for free. Just remember that your bike must be capable of running and must be ridden into the Custom Bike Show area.
Next up, make sure you get yourself sign up for the Parade that usually happens on the Sunday. Whatever you ride, all are encouraged to take part in the ride out – it’s a great way to show off your pride and joy whilst raising vital funds for charity.
Other highlights of this great event include Wild Atlantic Way Ride Outs which are organised and marshalled by local HOG Chapters, you’ll need to pre-register to do this but it’s a great day out and you’ll get to see the epic scenes of the Irish coastland. There’s the Novelty Dog Show, pooch owners are encouraged to bring their furry friends along for the weekend and enter into the competition, its great fun for the whole family.
