Piaggio Typhoon Overview
This nippy 50cc scooter is a big favourite in the Piaggio Vespa lineup. Not only does it look pretty swanky, but it’s also kitted out with the latest technology, power and comfort.
The Typhoon ticks all the boxes for a rider who’s looking for a scooter styled machine that’s stylish and comfortable for the daily commute or running errands if you’re living in a busy town or city. Small enough to move around in traffic but it still has plenty of power – despite it being a 50cc capacity machine.
Edging towards the urban look, the Typhoon has a UBS charging point under your seat so you can charge your phone whilst riding, as well as digital dashboard measuring your fuel, trip data and the time on the LCD display.
The chunky tyres and graffiti stickers on the Typhoon give it an edgier look to most others on the market right now. It’s no surprise its one of Piaggio’s best selling bikes with a price tag of £2,000 new.

Owner Reviews
Pros
Cheap to run and great around town.
Cons
So many screws required to take off the awful plastic panelling to have a look T anything.

Decent seat and sitting position.
Not been the most reliable. Had to replace the manifold within a year.
No bells and whistles. The rear brake is a bit spongy.
Handles corners well. I throw it around quite a bit.
It's a 125. It's nothing special, but nippy enough for urban riding.
Fiver a week on fuel ain't bad.
