The motorcycling world really came alive for Peugeot in the early 1900’s with the creation of the 1st world motorbike in a bicylinder, followed quickly by a victory at the 1st Tourist Thorphy edition at 1907 Isle of Man.
1953 saw the launch of the first Peugeot Scooter, S55, after a huge success it was followed by the launch of the <<100>> family moped (1968) and record sales of the Peugeot 103 mopeds in 1974.
2010 saw the name change from ‘Peugeot Motorcycles’ to ‘Peugeot Scooters’ to celebrate their 200th anniversary.
Since then Peugeot Scooters have continued to launch a whole range of new concepts including the Peugeot Metropolis 400, the first 3-wheel scooter, Django, a neo-retro scooter with hyper-customisation and Speedfight 4, a continuation of one of the best scooters in the world.
A whole host of scooters have been designed and produced from 50cc to over 125cc. Peugeot have successfully made scooters stylish, savvy and smooth just like motorcycles.
