The Peugeot brand was created in France in 1810 and you may immediately associate it with cars, but Peugeot Motorcycles have been creating scooters since 1898, where their first prototype was exhibited at the Paris Motorcycle Show.

1953 saw the launch of the S55, and after a huge success it was followed by the launch of the <<100>> family moped (1968) and then the Peugeot 103 mopeds in 1974 which saw the brand achieve record sales.

2010 saw the name change from ‘Peugeot Motorcycles’ to ‘Peugeot Scooters’ to celebrate their 200th anniversary.

Then in 2020 the business moved back to the Peugeot Motorcycles name and looked to manufacture full-sized bikes from 2022-2023 following their acquisition by the Mahindra Group and Mutares.
