Aprilia RSV1000 Overview
Aprilia offered this bike in three versions: RSV 1000 R is the standard version, the higher spec version is called the RSV 1000 R Factory, and there’s also a limited edition version called RSV 1000 R Nera.
All versions offer you a sport bike motorcycle which rides well and provides excellent maneuverability on fast, smooth roads out of town. However, around small roads or bumpy areas, especially when using low revs, it can feel a little awkward on the road. It does have excellent brakes though, and is a good, reliable model for anyone looking for a dependable mid-range bike.
Although owners haven’t seemed bowled away by the comfort of this bike, it does suit one rider well over a moderate distance. Weighing in at around 200kg, this bike is lighter than its rivals, like the Ducati 916.
Some riders have complained about electrical issues on this bike, with some also suggesting that getting spare parts can feel slow and prove difficult. The initial price for the bike isn’t too bad, though – in fact, you can bag the RSV 1000 at a real bargain if you look on the second hand market. Servicing doesn’t cost a lot either – so if you’re looking for a deal, you might find one here.

Superb handling & grip when you pair the bike up with SC2 200 rear tyre
Superb torque a little rough on idle, when your over 5 thousand she sings
battery performance is always a problem
Very high end materials
Brumby 2x 2pot callipers... say no more
Not the most powerful but will rip ya arms out if ya try thrashing it
Back brake, electrics and ride position
Apart from the battery draining no problem otherwise. A decent battery and uprated solenoid and starter cables are a must to avoid the dreaded sprag failure
Back brake resevoir needs relocating as its behind the fairing and gets to hot which makes the read brake pointless
