How to make a van insurance claim

Whether you’ve been in an accident, your van has been stolen or goods from your vehicle have been taken, our guide below is aimed to help you start to make your claim.

  • If your van has been involved in an accident that was the fault of a third party, vandalised, stolen or had goods stolen from it, it is likely that you will need a crime reference number in order to make the claim. You will need to contact the police to report the event in the first instance.
  • Find your insurance details, including your policy number. You may also need to provide things like your name and address, the full name of the account holder and your date of birth to verify your identity.
  • Before you call to make your claim, make sure you have all the facts of the claim to hand – this should include the chain of events, any individuals involved, plus the time, date and location of the event.
  • Once you have gathered your information, give our Claims line a call on 0345 543 9959 and one of our friendly agents will walk you through the claims process.
