Experienced motorcyclist insurance – overview

If you’ve been riding for years and have had no claims or accidents, we can secure a great value insurance policy for you. We believe that whatever motorbike you ride – be it a sports bike, Harley Davidson or scooter, if you drive it safely, you ought to be rewarded with low cost insurance. That’s where Devitt comes in.

Whatever your location or occupation, we will endeavour  to provide you with the right insurance policy for you – whether you’re looking for fully comprehensive cover, third party or third party fire and theft. There are also plenty of things you can do to lower your premium even further as there are discounts if you put in additional security and safety measures.

There are plenty of additional products that you can add to your insurance policy to provide you with even more peace of mind. You’re an experienced, safe rider, but sometimes accidents can happen – which is why we provide a range of additional products that can top-up your cover, such as RAC breakdown for motorbikes to get you back on the road in the event of a breakdown, Personal Accident cover, Personal Accident cover including leathers and helmet (leathers can be pricey to replace, so this is a great option for many riders), as well as Legal Expenses cover.

How to get cheap experienced rider insurance

Experienced riders already get the best value insurance policies on the market – and with good reason! But you can take advantage of further discounts with a few simple security measures, like keeping your bike locked away safely in your garage (or even keeping it indoors if you have space), using chains, having a factory-fitted alarm or immobiliser and keeping your mileage low. Your location and occupation can also sometimes lower your premiums, but there isn’t much you can do about those!

Returning rider and born again biker insurance

Have you not ridden for a few years and thinking about returning to riding? We may be able to help, if it’s only been two or three years then we could potentially consider your previous NCD or offer you an introductory NCD.

If you’ve been away from biking for more than three years, then we still may be able to consider your previous experience when generating your premium.

Information needed for your experienced rider quote

Getting a quote couldn’t be easier. You’ll just need a few bits of information to hand, including details of your bike, how much mileage you do, any no claim discount that you can use, details of any convictions or accidents and your occupation and location. We’ll be able to provide you with a quick quote online, or you could call one of our friendly insurance advisors on 0345 872 3614 for a quote over the phone.
