All about KTM

KTM-Sportmotorcycle AG is an Austrian bike manufacturer, founded in 1934 by Hans Trunkenpolz. Known for its off-road motorcycles, this is a manufacturer hugely popular amongst those who enjoy the excitement of adventuring across natural, open terrain like mud, snow, gravel or sand.

Motocross, XC (which stands for cross country) and Enduro are the three types of off-road bikes that KTM manufactures.

Examples of KTM Motocross bikes include:

250 SXK 2005 – When KTM developed this bike it was determined to be the best by producing ground-breaking work! This particular bike has the biggest power spread with the smallest engine size that KTM could find at the time.

50 SX 2015 – KTM describes this bike as the ‘perfect launchpad into the MX world’. So, if you’re looking to take up motocross this is a great choice! It’s light – just 39.8kg – and easy to handle.

150 SX 2015 – ‘The best of both worlds’ is how KTM explains this model. Weighing 90.4kg it’s heavier than the 50 SX but not the heaviest in its class.

Examples of KTM Cross-Country bikes include:

250 XC 2015 – Named ‘the victory machine’, this KTM has outstanding power-to-weight ratio making it ideal for extreme enduro activities.

Examples of KTM Enduro bikes include:

500 EXC 2015 – Claimed to be one of the most powerful enduro racing machines on the market, KTM describes this cross-country bike as ‘the powerhouse’.

KTM also produces other popular bikes including:
Duel-sport
Adventure
Sports Bike
Supermoto
