Ride-outs to look out for in the summer of 2014
The sun is shining and the skies are blue – what better time to ride out into the countryside than the summertime? We’ve rounded up some of the best ride-outs to look out for this summer for making the most of those longer (warm?) days.
Date: 7th June 2014
Location: 88-92 Talbot Road, Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 0GS
This fantastic ride-out is among the very best that Manchester has to offer, setting off from Henshaws Manchester, in Old Trafford, and biking through to the Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre, Knaresborough. It’s a mostly non-motorway route, so make sure you’re up for the challenge! Make it all the way to the end and you can claim your Sausage Sandwich at the Arts and Crafts Centre. Yum!
As always, it’s for a good cause, in support of Henshaws Society for Blind People. Henshaws provides opportunities for people with disabilities by providing them with work training and experience to help them reach their full potential. So any form of sponsorship that you can get for your ride-out will be much appreciated!
Date: 27th – 29th June 2014
Location: Dent, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales

This noble cause remembers the bikers lost on our roads. It began in May 2013 as a way of remembering the many bikers in Essex who lost their lives along the route. Now in its second year, Ride for the Fallen aims to be an annual event, with proceeds going to the Essex Air Ambulance.
This year’s event will finish up at Maldon Promanade Park with a bike show and family fun day – a great way to support the families of lost bikers and cherish their memories.
Whichever ride-out you choose (maybe you’ll attend them all!) you’re guaranteed a fantastic day out with stunning countryside, fascinating routes and a terrific atmosphere alongside fellow bikers.
