What do I need to do when I take my motorcycle abroad?
You need to call us on 0845 300 4870 and advise
when, how long for and where you are going. We will then advise
the insurers. Please ensure that when you do travel you take
your certificate of motor insurance for the motorcycle with you.
Calls may be recorded. Maximum call charge from a BT landline is
4p per minute (minimum 5p per call). Calls from other networks may
vary.
For how long is my motorcycle covered abroad?
This varies from policy to policy. Just check the terms and conditions
in your policy booklet and your policy schedule.
Where is my motorcycle covered abroad?
You are covered to ride your motorcycle in any EU and Associated country.
Which countries are classed as EU and Associated countries?
Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man
and the Channel Islands, the Republic of Ireland,
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the
Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland,
France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary,
Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania,
Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands,
Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino
and the Vatican City, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain,
Sweden and Switzerland.
I have received a letter from Devitt stating that I have not returned
documentation - what am I required to send to you?
This could vary dependent on circumstances, but could include:
- The proposal form which should be completed, signed and sent
back
- Copies of all riders/drivers licences (front and back of the
photo card and the front of the counterpart)
- Copies of CBT for all riders on the policy
- Proof of No Claim Discount
- Proof of security system

Can I freeze my motorcycle insurance?
Unfortunately we do not offer this facility. All our policies are
on an annual basis.
Am I covered to ride other motorcycles?
Not all our insurers include this extension. Just check the
terms and conditions on your certificate of motor insurance.
Do I need to make you aware of any modifications I make to my
motorcycle?
Yes you will need to let us know if you plan to make any modifications
as not all modifications are acceptable to all our insurers.

Do I need to advise you of claims/ and convictions if they relate
to my car?
Yes you do, all of this information is used to work out your premium.
