The Cornhill Inn

Like so many other cafes in the country, the Cornhill Inn is a family run business that is located in what used to be a 16th century inn. It is in the very centre of Wales and offers probably one of the best biking routes in the country. The owner is a bike enthusiast himself and takes visitors on a group tour of the area and offers valuable tips about hidden routes and the amazing scenic countryside that is all around.

The atmosphere at the inn is warm and friendly with plenty of locals as well as bikers mingling and socialising as well as exchanging riding tips.

The food is great, too – and the place serves excellent ales. It offers an authentic British pub like experience with no television or other modern distractions. It is the perfect place to sit back, have a swig of ale close to a crackling log fire, and cast aside all the cares of the modern world.

Rhayader is entrance point to the amazing natural beauty of the Elan Valley. The place offers motorcycle washing facilities, private sparking, Free Wi-Fi and a lot of space to park with CCTV security systems in place. The cost of rooms is very reasonable, beginning at £25.
