Training School Insurance Claims Guide

If we’ve arranged your insurance for you and you’re have trouble contacting your insurer directly, get in touch with us and we’ll be pleased to help. Call us for advice or assistance on 0345 604 3352.

If you’re an instructor or you own or manage a motorcycle training school, you’ll most likely have a wide range of bikes to hand, so it’s important to note down any stock that has been damaged or stolen in the event of an incident so this can be passed onto your claims department.

A liability claim should also be reported straight away in particular if it involved bodily injury to a member of the public or a member of your staff. If a member of staff has been injured you may need to report it to the Health and Safety Executive under Reporting of Injuries Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR).

Should an accident/incident occur with your training school it is important that you report it to your insurer as soon as possible. If you need to make a claim, please have these details to hand:

  • Policy number
  • Police Crime Number (if necessary)
  • Your full name and address
  • Details of any third parties involved
  • Details of the accident / loss
  • Witness information (if applicable)
