Event: London Bus Museum Spring Gathering

When? Sunday 9th April

Where? Brooklands Museum, Brooklands Road, Weybridge, Surrey KT13 0QN

What’s on?

Buses are, naturally enough, the main event at this event. But there will also be an unspecified number of taxi-cabs, trucks and military vehicles on display. The organisers reckon it’s the longest-running and best-loved show of its kind, and we’re not arguing.

Around 100 buses and coaches from all over the UK will be converging at Brooklands. Expect new and old stuff. The theme this year is “Pay as You Board”, and there will be all kinds of exhibitions of bus equipment, memorabilia and suchlike.

Plenty of motorcyclists are interested in this kind of stuff so if you’re in the area, or fancy a trip, get your motor running.

There’s also stuff for the kiddies including a treasure hunt, so you can make a family day of it, etc. And one more thing; there will be a “traditional Punch & Judy Show”. But in this age of political correctness, how traditional will that really be? Meanwhile, all the usual Brooklands attractions (motorcycles, cars and aircraft) will be accessible.

Opening hours:

10:00 – 17:00

Admission:

Adults £11 advance/£13 on the day

One comment on “Biker events in April 2017”

Chris Durhamsays:

Surprised that the Bike4Life event hasn’t been listed in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance. Ride out from Shrewsbury to RAF Cosford this Sunday 30th April. 3,500 bikes doing the ride out, with lots going on at Cosford. More details Available on their website, http://www.bike4lifefest.com
