Ducati XDiavel Bike Overview
One of Ducati’s more recent offerings, the XDiavel is described by Ducati as ‘dauntless, irreverent and unheard of’ bringing a whole new dimension to the range of cruiser bikes previously seen. The XDiavel has been created to offer more from a cruiser bike including improved handling, braking and overall performance. This bike is fast, has plenty of torque, handles itself competently and does it all whilst looking good. If you’ve often considered purchasing a cruiser but have been put off by the compromises required, then the XDiavel is definitely a bike worth looking into.
With a 1262cc V-twin engine, you would expect to get a decent delivery of power and this is definitely something the XDiavel does well. A hydraulic variable valve timing system has also been implemented to assist with the typical shakiness and jerking reported with low revs in Ducati bikes making low speed riding much more comfortable. You also get a full array of electronics including traction control, three different riding modes, cruise control and wheelie-control. On top of this, there are various adjustments you can make to the positioning of the handlebars, seats and footrests to ensure maximum comfort whilst riding.
The XDiavel is the type of bike which seems to have it all and as of yet there has been very little complaint. It is perhaps worth noting however that this is an expensive bike and whilst you get the quality you would expect for the price tag, it is certainly not for the first timer.

Really comfortable for the rider, you certainly need the optimal back rest if your going to carry a pillion!
No problems (other than the odd false neutral that comes with all ducatis!)
Great brembo brakes all round.
Really agile for what is essentially a cruiser! Responsive engine, but the torque is higher in the tev range than you would expect from a big v-twin
Great performance from a beast of an engine.
50+ mpg of ridden sensibly… Ride angry and you'll get half that!
A work for art
Surprisingly good for a Ducati
Front are great but rear is rubbish but who cares it's a Ducati
