Commercial Vehicle Insurance Required Information and Assumptions

• Full details of the make and model of your commercial vehicle
• The exact year your commercial vehicle was registered (not just the registration letter)
• The date of birth for all drivers
• The exact dates of any accidents, claims or losses (irrespective of vehicle type) within the last five years, for all drivers with details of costs and whether any such accident, claim or loss was settled as 'fault' or 'non fault'
• The exact dates of any convictions for all drivers together with conviction codes, penalties and details of any ban imposed
• If you wish to buy on-line and are transferring a no claim discount to this insurance you will be required to supply documentary proof to support the transfer.

Assumptions

The following conditions need to apply for a commercial vehicle insurance quote. If any of these statements do not agree with your circumstances or you would prefer to obtain a quote by phone, please call us on 0800 046 6472 so that our sales team can assist you. Calls may be recorded.

• You and any additional driver hold a full UK Driving Licence, have permanently lived in the UK for the last three years and live at a permanent address within the UK.
• You are the owner/lease holder and registered keeper of the vehicle, the vehicle is to be insured in your name as an individual, is a right hand drive model manufactured in the UK or has been/will be officially imported into the UK by the manufacturer and has not been modified in any way .
• The vehicle will not be driven or used at hazardous locations such as chemical/oil/gas works or refineries, nuclear power stations, explosive/ammunition/pyrotechnic industries, military bases, or airports.
• Any trailer being drawn by your vehicle is not to be covered for more than the cover provided by the policy for Third Party towing risks and you do not require cover for any goods/tools carried in such trailer.
• The vehicle is not refrigerated or insulated.
• Neither you, nor any additional driver, have been advised by a doctor not to drive or have a disability/medical condition that needs to be disclosed to the DVLA.
• The vehicle is not used for private hire, competitions or rallies.
• Neither you nor any additional driver have ever been refused insurance or had special terms imposed on previous insurance policies, received any drink/drug related conviction, been convicted of a non-motoring offence in the last 5 years (e.g. theft, dishonesty, fraud) or have any Notice of an Intended Motoring Prosecution pending.
• Neither you nor any additional driver have a part-time occupation, whether or not this is in addition to a full-time occupation
• You require a quote for a single vehicle only with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) not exceeding 3.5 tonnes.
• You do not require a quote for an "any driver" policy.

If you wish to insure a vehicle registered in a company/trading name, you will not be able to obtain a quote from the website and will need to call us for a quote.
