SAINT FRANCIS HOSPICE
GETS BOOST FROM DEVITT
Romford, 21st February 2007 – Romford-based
motorcycle insurance broker Devitt has donated £1,600 to Romford’s
Saint Francis Hospice following fund raising by staff from the firm’s
Romford and Ipswich branches.
Staff raised the money at the company’s winter ball which
was held on 19th January and the proceeds were presented today (1st
February 2007) to Alistair Meron, Corporate Trust and Communications
Manager of Saint Francis Hospice Development Trust. The money will
be used to help continue providing specialist care to local people
who have cancer or other life-limiting illnesses.
Devitt’s Managing Director at the time, Martin Pretlove said, “Saint
Francis Hospice is very much part of the local community and we
are delighted to support them in helping make a difference to those
who are less fortunate than us. Our staff voted to support this
hospice as they felt that it provided such an invaluable service.”
Over 280 staff are employed by Devitt which specialises in motorcycle
insurance and also arranges car and home insurance.
