DEVITT SUPPORTS THINK! ROAD SAFETY
 The Government has a target to reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured on the roads. Broadly, the targets of this strategy are being met but motorcyclists continue to be disproportionately involved in fatal accidents.
The THINK! motorcycle safety campaign targets both urban commuters (motorists as well as motorcyclists) and leisure riders with specific safety messages. However, motorcycle casualty figures remain high and with 493 motorcyclists killed and 5,556 motorcyclists seriously injured in 2008, there is no room for complacency.
