DEVITT RACING
Overview
At the beginning of 2006 Devitt became a major rider sponsor in
the Metzeler National Superstock Cup by sponsoring young hopeful,
Ben Taylor (number 43), in his first full year
of Superstock. The team is known as Devitt Racing.
The gifted Hornchurch-based 24-year-old smashed the Brands Hatch
400cc lap record in 2004; a record still viewed as impossible to
better.
In 2005, Ben made the huge step up from 400cc to the CBR1000RR
Fireblade and though he only entered a few select rounds, he finished
the season as the highest placed Honda rider.
Ben’s move up the ladder of motorsport has been fantastic
and we are delighted to be building on the progress made in 2006
by working with him again during the 2007 season.
The Metzeler National Superstock Cup series is a support race to
the BSB British Superbike Championship. The 2007 season kicked off
at the Brands Hatch on April 7-9th, and runs through to Round 13
back at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit on October 12-14th.
